Whitehead has started the past four games at point guard in place of Jeremy Lin (hamstring), but hasn't impressed, averaging 7.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 22.0 minutes per contest while shooting 36.7 percent from the floor. In an effort to find more production at the position, coach Kenny Atkinson will give Spencer Dinwiddie a turn with the top unit. If Dinwiddie, who had eaten into Whitehead's playing time while coming off the bench, thrives Friday, he could stick ahead of Whitehead in the rotation in the games to come.
