With Freeman officially ruled out, Tevin Coleman is expected to get the start while Ito Smith serves as the backup. Falcons coach Dan Quinn said there's nothing structurally wrong with Freeman's knee, even though it's the same knee the running back injured late last season, per Jason Butt of The Athletic. Quinn's comment suggests Freeman has a shot to return for Week 3 against New Orleans.
