The grumblings for Patrick Mahomes to make his debut with the Kansas City Chiefs just got a whole lot louder.
The Chiefs dropped their fifth game in six week after losing to the Buffalo Bills 16-10 in Week 12. One has to wonder just how much longer Alex Smith is going to keep his job as Kansas City's starting quarterback.
Smith has now failed to beat his Projected Fantasy Points total in four straight games after throwing for just 199 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
Worse for the Chiefs is that Kareem Hunt has fallen off the planet. He had just 11 carries for 17 yards against Buffalo, easily a season low.
It was strange to see the Bills win on a day when LeSean McCoy averaged just 2.2 yards per carry. Fortunately for Buffalo, Travaris Cadet made some crucial plays out of the backfield and narrowly beat his low PFP total while the returning Tyrod Taylor had a solid game with 183 yards and a touchdown.
Both of these teams are now at 6-5 through 11 games, and both have a great shot to challenge for the last playoff spots available in the AFC.
