The Indianapolis Colts and Buffalo Bills may as well have played in a snow globe in Week 14. The snowy conditions at New Era Field were never conducive to big fantasy stats, and the game lived up to its lousy billing. Still, the Buffalo Bills saved their season with a 13-7 overtime victory.
At least it was a good day for the two starting running backs. Frank Gore and LeSean McCoy both crushed their Projected Fantasy Points totals by running for more than 100 yards in this game. McCoy rumbled through the snow for a 21-yard touchdown that won the game late in overtime.
Aside from that, though, there wasn't much in the way of fantasy scoring on either side.
Kelvin Benjamin beat his PFP total by scoring a second-quarter touchdown, but he left the game in the fourth quarter due to a knee injury.
Surprise starter, Nathan Peterman only lasted a bit more than two quarters in the snow before he was taken out of the game with a possible concussion. With Tyrod Taylor inactive, Joe Webb replaced Peterman and went 2-for-5 with an interception.
Peterman, who was disastrous with five first-half interceptions in his first career start, actually beat his pathetically low PFP total even though he only threw for 57 yards and a touchdown.
It was even a tough day for Adam Vinatieri. He missed two field goals for just the eighth time in his career and for the first time since 2007. Vinatieri had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation but missed a 42-yarder in the nearly-impossible conditions.
