The performance was disappointing, to say the least, with No. 1 wideout Jordan Matthews (chest) out of commission, but the loss of starting QB Tyrod Taylor to a concussion may have played a role. Now with a neck injury in tow, the team will likely exercise caution with Holmes with the regular season in sight, allowing veteran wideouts like Brandon Tate and Philly Brown a chance to stake claims to roster spots Thursday versus the Lions.
