Chicago Bears - Fantasy News

Week 4 of the 2017 NFL season kicks off on Thursday night when the Chicago Bears travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers. We have identified players to start and sit in this exciting divisional matchup.

The Bears season began with a heartbreaking game against the Atlanta Falcons, as Jordan Howard dropped the game-winning touchdown at the goal line in the final seconds. In Week 2, they were shellacked by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before returning home and beating the Pittsburgh Steelers in overtime this past Sunday.

The Packers, meanwhile, enter this game at 2-1 with home wins against the Seattle Seahawks and Cincinnati Bengals sandwiching an embarrassing road loss to the Falcons.

Chicago Bears Week 4 Projected Fantasy Points
Jordan Howard: 13.0 DFP
Tarik Cohen: 12.5 DFP
Mike Glennon: 11.0 DFP
Kendall Wright: 7.5 DFP
Zach Miller: 6.5 DFP
Deonte Thompson: 6.0 DFP
Josh Bellamy: 5.5 DFP
Connor Barth: 5.0 DFP

Green Bay Packers Week 4 Projected Fantasy Points
Aaron Rodgers: 22.0 DFP
Ty Montgomery: 14.5 DFP
Jordy Nelson: 14.0 DFP
Davante Adams: 12.0 DFP
Geronimo Allison: 10.0 DFP
Martellus Bennett: 8.0 DFP
Mason Crosby: 7.5 DFP

Start 'Em: Tarik Cohen (12.5 PFP)

One of the breakout fantasy stars of the young season, Cohen has started his NFL career with 283 yards and a touchdown in just three games. While he has achieved more than 12.5 DFP only once in those contests, this is a great spot for the rookie. Cohen excels in the passing game and essentially operates as the team’s No. 1 receiver. He has 20 receptions on 25 targets so far this season, good for most on the team. The Bears will have a difficult time stopping the Packers offense and should be playing from behind most of the contest. That should provide plenty of opportunities for Cohen to catch the ball and make plays in space.

Sit 'Em: Kendall Wright (7.5 PFP)

On Chicago’s depth chart, Kendall Wright is the name at the top of the list of receivers. Unfortunately, that doesn’t mean much in this current iteration of the Bears offense. Wright wasn’t targeted once in Week 3, and Mike Glennon completed exactly one pass to a wide receiver against the Steelers—a nine-yarder to Deonte Thompson. Glennon wants to keep the ball in the middle of the field, throwing short passes to the running backs and Zach Miller. Look for Wright to be barely involved once again in Week 4.

Start 'Em: Jordy Nelson (14.0 PFP)

There are few receivers in the NFL as good as Nelson, and fewer still have the kind of receiver-quarterback chemistry that makes him a no-brainer fantasy option. In the two games Nelson has started and finished this season, he has 17.4 and 20.2 DFP. Now he gets a home game against a Bears team that has given up 18.8 and 22.0 DFP to Mike Evans and Antonio Brown, respectively, in the last two weeks. Target Nelson wherever possible, because his PFP is only going to go up from here on out.

Sit 'Em: Martellus Bennett (8.0 PFP)

A much-hyped free-agent signing this offseason, Bennett has fallen far short of expectations. He has 11 receptions for 102 yards in three games, an average of only 5.23 DFP per contest. While the numbers look bad, his play on the field looks worse. He has dropped several passes, committed dumb penalties and ran poor routes. Whenever a player is on the field with Aaron Rodgers for an extended period of time, he has a chance at fantasy glory, but it sure doesn’t seem likely to happen with Bennett anytime soon.
