Coming out of the Bears' Week 9 bye, Sims sits atop the depth chart at tight end following Zach Miller's season-ending knee injury. During the team's last game Oct. 29 at New Orleans, Sims earned 40 of 67 offensive snaps, using that playing time to record a season-high three catches (on five targets) for 15 yards. Assuming the illness dissipates by the weekend, Sims could be in store for an even larger snap share Sunday against the Packers, with Adam Shaheen and Daniel Brown occasionally providing relief.
