The Chicago Bears are officially back in the playoff chase in the NFC.
On a day which Mitchell Trubisky threw a grand total of just seven passes, the Bears got the best of the Carolina Panthers in an ugly 17-3 victory at Soldier Field.
As bad as that 17-3 victory would seem for Dober Fantasy players, it was even worse than that. Both of the touchdowns in this game were of the defensive variety, first a fumble recovery for a touchdown, then a pick six, both of which came courtesy of Eddie Jackson.
The Bears possessed the ball just once in the second quarter, a five-play, 74-yard drive that ate just 2:08. The Panthers held the ball for the other 12:52 and managed to score just three points of their own.
Chicago ran just 37 offensive plays on the day.
Literally not a single player in this game beat his Projected Fantasy Points total. Carolina's entire team scored just 47.84 Dober Fantasy Points, while Chicago managed even less with 27.78 DFP. The 75.62 combined DFP for the two teams was easily the lowest mark for a game of the NFL season.
The highest fantasy scorer on the day with Christian McCaffrey, who managed just 8.10 DFP.
