Lewis' comment alone does not do much to alter Ross's status for the Bengals' season opener, but the team has seemingly been targeting either Week 2 or Week 3 for his debut, and this would indicate he has a chance to suit up for Week 1. More details regarding his status will be available once the Bengals complete their final practice session of the week Friday afternoon.
