Jeremy Hill is listed No. 1 on the RB depth chart and is expected to kick off the campaign as the starter, but Bernard shouldn't have an issue holding down a pass-catching role on third down, as well as obvious passing downs. The potential exists for rookie Joe Mixon, a capable receiver during his collegiate career at Oklahoma, to eat into Bernard's snap share at some point, especially if the veteran is slow to bounce back from a torn ACL. When he's been on the field, though, Bernard has averaged 3.4 catches and 4.5 targets per game, which has supplemented just shy of 75 yards from scrimmage per outing and 20 total touchdowns in 55 contests.
