Dalton had Cincinnati humming early on, connecting on five of his attempts, including four to A.J. Green, during a Bengals opening drive that culminated in a touchdown. Dalton fumbled away the next drive and completed just three passes for the remainder of the half. Dalton aired it out plenty in 2016 and reached or neared plenty of career highs, but saw career lows in touchdowns and touchdown percentage - a product of playing much of the year without A.J. Green and Tyler Eifert. Both will be back this season, and the addition of speedster John Ross and pass-catching back Joe Mixon should make Cincinnati a more formidable offense. As Dalton's preseason numbers have shown, however, it just hasn't all come together yet.
