John Fox wants a do-over.
The Chicago Bears were in a rare position of being expected to beat the Green Bay Packers in Week 10 (they were favored), yet a bumbled challenge helped lead to a 23-16 defeat that will probably send them out of the playoff picture once and for all.
The entire complexity of the game changed late in the first quarter when Fox challenged that Benny Cunningham had scored a touchdown before stepping out of bounds. Fox won his challenge; the ruling on the field was overturned, yet it wasn't to put six points on the board for the hosts. Cunningham never had control of the ball as he reached for the pylon, and since the ball did clip the pylon before his foot landed out of bounds, the call on the field was reversed to a touchback, taking away a likely touchdown.
Not surprisingly, the final margin of victory for Green Bay was exactly seven points.
Even though this wasn't a stellar day for Dober Fantasy players in the Windy City, Mitchell Trubisky and Brett Hundley both beat their paltry Projected Fantasy Points totals and looked downright competent. Trubisky had the best game of his young career, throwing for 297 yards and a touchdown while Hundley went 18-for-25 for 212 yards and a score.
Hundley really had no choice but to perform well after both Aaron Jones and Ty Montgomery went out with injuries. Jamaal Williams rumbled 20 times for 67 yards in relief.
