By his own standards, Deshaun Watson had a rather paltry day at the office in Week 6. After tying the NFL rookie record by accounting for five touchdowns in consecutive games, the rookie from Clemson "only" had three touchdown passes in a 33-10 Houston Texans win over the Cleveland Browns.
Hue Jackson hoped that the Browns' offensive struggles were going to be over with this week. Cleveland was taking on a Houston team that had just lost J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus to season-ending injuries a week ago, and the switch from DeShone Kizer to Kevin Hogan under center was supposed to provide a kickstart.
If that was the plan, Jackson failed miserably.
Hogan actually had negative Dober Fantasy Points as a passer before leading the Browns on their one offensive touchdown of the game late in the fourth quarter. His final stat line doesn't look quite as disgusting as it would have without the touchdown, but 20-for-37 for 140 yards with a score and three picks put him nowhere near his Projected Fantasy Points total.
Will Fuller hauled in his fifth touchdown in three games for the Texans, but the star of the show was once again Watson.
Watson narrowly beat his PFP total, his fifth consecutive week topping his projection. Watson also broke the NFL record for total touchdowns in the first six games of a career.
