Even with Watson under center, Fuller was likely to notice some regression, as he had somehow parlayed 22 targets into 13 catches for 279 yards and seven scores. There was at least reason to hope Fuller might get an uptick in volume to help make up some of the difference, but even if his target numbers hold steady under Savage, the Texans are likely to take a more conservative offensive approach the rest of the way with Watson out for the season. That will presumably yield fewer deep balls and other big-play opportunities for Fuller, who was a primary beneficiary from Watson's ability to extend plays and roll out of the pocket.
