Top 5 Fantasy Running Back Sleepers for Week 10

Two of the NFL’s top offensive teams are on byes in Week 10, leaving a gaping hole at the running back spot that’s begging to be filled by fantasy players. Check out some of the top deep sleepers that could play beat their Dober Projected Fantasy Points totals in Week 10.

Chris Ivory (8.13 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Chargers: 7.0

Chris Ivory has become an interesting commodity these last two games with Leonard Fournette out of the lineup. Though Fournette is expected to be back this week, the way the Jaguars are playing could allow two backs to succeed. This offense is set to go up against the No. 31 rush defense on Sunday (Chargers).

Even when Fournette was in the lineup, Ivory averaged 9.3 touches per game. Just as Ivory split the backfield with T.J. Yeldon while Fournette was out, we suspect he'll do the same with a returning Fournette in Week 10.

D'Onta Foreman (3.84 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Rams: 5.0

D'Onta Foreman is being used on a third of Houston's offensive plays this year. With Tom Savage still quarterbacking the Texans, there isn't really much of a choice but to run the football a ton.

Foreman had a sluggish start to the season, but in his last five games, he’s averaged 35 rushing yards per game and has arguably performed just as well as veteran Lamar Miller.

A Week 10 matchup against the Rams is tough, but Foreman doesn't need to do much to beat this middling PFP.

Alfred Blue (0.66 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Rams: 0.5

We're reaching a little bit with Alfred Blue, especially since he has fallen out of favor in Houston with Miller and Foreman in the offense. However, this game against the Rams feels like a blowout waiting to happen, and Blue only needs five yards to beat his PFP.

Let's also not forget that Blue is probably the best pass-catcher of the three men in the Texans backfield, and a lone reception against the Rams would do the trick. Don't be surprised if Blue has three or four catches in what could be the most lopsided game of Houston's season to date.

Mike Gillislee (7.19 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Broncos: 6.5

Mike Gillislee busted onto the scene in Week 1 of the season by scoring three touchdowns and posting 22.50 DFP. He followed that up with 12.90 DFP the next week against New Orleans.

Since that point, Gillislee has a total of 22.10 DFP in six games.

Still, this matchup against Denver feels like one that is going to produce plenty of points. Gillislee easily leads the Patriots in carries inside the red zone (21) and inside the 5-yard line (7). He should have a chance on Sunday to find paydirt, and if he does, he'll easily post his first victory against his PFP since Week 2.

Jonathan Stewart (5.38 Dober Fantasy Points Per Game)
Projected Fantasy Points vs. Dolphins: 5.5

It's easy to play against Jonathan Stewart after he fumbled twice last week for the Panthers, but the way this offense looks without Kelvin Benjamin, he's going to have too much volume to not at least be considered in Week 10.

The Panthers are heavy favorites against Miami on Monday Night Football, and that should create plenty of opportunities for Stewart to get his hands on the ball. Getting to 55 yards isn't all that impossible on its own, but also remember that Stewart has more than half of the carries for Carolina inside the red zone this season.
