When the book closes on the 2017 Los Angeles Chargers, it's going to tell the tale of a team that should have won a ton more games than it did.
The Bolts' last six drives of this game read as such:
3 plays, 9 yards, punt
5 plays, 11 yards, punt
1 play, -6 yards, fumble
3 plays, 6 yards, punt
1 play, -1 yard, end of regulation
3 plays, 1 yard, interception
Had any of those four drives featured one more first down, the Chargers would have walked out of Jacksonville 17-14 winners. Instead, one of the NFL's best defenses rose up, took away the ball twice and won the game as a result.
The fantasy numbers were predictably ugly in this game, especially since one of Jacksonville's touchdowns came courtesy of a 56-yard run by Corey Grant.
Austin Ekeler stole the show for the Chargers with two receiving touchdowns and 42 yards on the ground. It's entirely possible that Ekeler is starting to eat into the backfield touches that usually belong to Melvin Gordon. This is something to watch going forward, especially since Gordon had 16 rushes for just 27 yards this week.
Marqise Lee, who has double-digits in targets in three of his last four games, found the end zone for the second straight week to beat his Projected Fantasy Points total.
