Chiefs at Chargers Fantasy Recap (Week 3, 2017)

Fantasy footballers that selected players on the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers had to love the 21 points the two teams combined for in the first quarter. The 13 total the rest of the way? Not so much.

In the end, the Chiefs walked out of the StubHub Center as 24-10 victors to improve to 3-0 on the campaign while dropping the Bolts to 0-3, and likely completely out of the playoff picture.

The hero of the day was Kareem Hunt. The rookie from Toledo now has 44.10, 24.40 and 25.80 Dober Fantasy Points in his first three NFL games, and he’s emerging as one of the top players in fantasy football early in the season.

A running back like that and Alex Smith going 16 of 21 for 155 yards and two scores is all Andy Reid needs most days. The defense did the rest, intercepting Philip Rivers three times and ending his streak of 15 straight games with at least one touchdown pass.

Melvin Gordon was held out of the third quarter with a mild knee injury, though he did return in the final stanza. Though Gordon was quiet from that point forward, he still had 79 rushing yards and a touchdown.
