Ware wouldn't be the first player to fight through a torn PCL after resting for a few weeks, but the serious damage to his LCL seemingly rules that out as a possibility. Seattle's Tyler Lockett played through a torn PCL last season, eventually finding his form in December after struggling for most of the year. While a final decision hasn't yet been made, the Chiefs are preparing for Ware to sit out the entire season. Kareem Hunt will head into Week 1 leading the backfield, with Charcandrick West and C.J. Spiller rounding out the rotation.
