Smith scrambled for an 11-yard touchdown to give the Chiefs the lead in the second quarter and drew them within a score with a three-yard out for a touchdown to Albert Wilson in the fourth. It was Smith's play in between that proved to be the difference in the game, however. Smith was picked off in the end zone early in the fourth quarter and the ball was returned to midfield, setting up Tampa Bay's lone touchdown. Smith, known for his carefulness with the ball, has now thrown picks in consecutive games and hasn't thrown two scores in a game since Week 7. His next test comes against Denver's top-flight pass defense.
