Chargers at Giants Fantasy Recap (Week 5, 2017)

Both the New York Giants and Los Angeles Chargers have been inventing new ways to lose all season long. Thus, it shouldn't be all that surprising that it was the team that took the lead into the late stages of the fourth quarter that found a way to lose this one. The Chargers came from five points down to score the last 10 points of the game in a 27-22 win at the Meadowlands.

Melvin Gordon complained last week about his usage in a 26-24 loss to the Eagles at home. This week, there was nothing to complain about.

Gordon ran the ball 20 times for 105 yards and added two touchdowns as a receiver to pace all scorers in the game. The trio of Gordon, Philip Rivers and Hunter Henry exceeded their Projected Fantasy Points totals for the Chargers.

Dober players who had G-Men on their Play Cards this week had little to complain about as well. All three New York running backs exceeded their PFPs, as did Odell Beckham Jr. after his five receptions, 97 yards and a touchdown.

But the big problem New York has going forward is that it might not have any healthy receivers on its roster. Eli Manning’s main targets, Sterling Shepard, Brandon Marshall and Beckham, went down with ankle injuries, and there's a real chance that OBJ is going to be out for a while, if not the rest of the season. Players were on a knee and praying for Beckham as he was carted off the field. The superstar was seen crying on the cart as he headed in for evaluation.
