The Los Angeles Chargers are still breathing in the AFC playoff race, but it certainly wasn't easy. They took care of business in a defensive battle against the New York Jets 14-7.
It's a little amazing the Chargers didn't get score more than two touchdowns in this game. They racked up nearly 400 yards of offense and didn't turn the ball over once. Nick Rose did miss a field goal, but even still, this should have been a much easier game.
Philip Rivers only completed 22-of-40 passes on the day, but he threw for 290 yards and a touchdown.
Melvin Gordon had a fantastic game, accounting for 128 yards of total offense and a touchdown. That said, he limped off the field with an ankle injury, something that begs to be watched as we head into Week 17.
It was also good to see Antonio Gates have his biggest game of the season. In what very likely is his second-to-last game of his career, Gates had six receptions, 81 yards and a touchdown to destroy his Projected Fantasy Points total.
Bilal Powell had a fantastic day at the office for the Jets. He took over the New York backfield, running for 145 yards and a touchdown.
Bryce Petty went just 14-for-27 for 114 yards with an interception.
