The Los Angeles Chargers did everything they had to do to get into the playoffs. Unfortunately, they couldn't get the help they needed in the across the rest of the country. A 30-10 win over the Oakland Raiders was a great result, but it wasn't good enough to get into the postseason.
This was a great game for Dober Fantasy players who had the big boys on their Dober Play Cards on either side.
Marshawn Lynch had a 100+ yard rushing day in what might be his final game with the Raiders. Amari Cooper only caught three balls, but one went for an 87-yard touchdown in the biggest play of his season.
This day was all about the L.A. offense, though.
Philip Rivers went 28-for-37 for 387 yards with three touchdowns. Rivers, Melvin Gordon, Branden Oliver, Keenan Allen, Travis Benjamin, Tyrell Williams and Antonio Gates all beat their Projected Fantasy Points totals, many of which did so with ease.
The Chargers came up just shy of 500 yards of offense. That said, they'll remember this game as the one that wasn't quite good enough. A few harrowing losses to start the season proved to be too much to overcome to get into the postseason in the AFC.
