Buccaneers at Vikings Fantasy Recap (Week 3, 2017)

In Week 3, Case Keenum had one of the lowest Dober Projected Fantasy Point totals you’ll ever see for a quarterback. His 9.50 PFP was the lowest to date for any signal caller. Yet his three-touchdown performance was more than enough to crush his PFP, and guide the Minnesota Vikings to a comfortable 34-17 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Keenum was fabulous, throwing for 369 yards and three touchdowns and perhaps giving Mike Zimmer something to think about when Sam Bradford does return from his injury. If Keenum can play like this every week, it’ll be hard to put him back on the bench.

Stefon Diggs was amongst the fantasy heroes for all teams in Week 3. His 34.30 Dober Fantasy Points was one of the highest marks by a wide receiver this season.

Don’t forget that Dalvin Cook totaled 169 yards of offense and scored his first career touchdown in his coronation as the undisputed leader of the Minnesota backfield.

Things just flat out didn’t work for the Buccaneers on this day. The running game was grounded, totaling just 26 yards on nine attempts. DeSean Jackson did score a touchdown, but he was really the only major star of the show for Tampa Bay.

Jameis Winston was incredibly relevant from a fantasy standpoint due to the fact that the Bucs played the entire game from behind. In the real world, though, his three interceptions put his team in an incredible bind that it was never going to recover from against one of the more underrated defenses in the NFL.
