Marcus Mariota learned the hard way the same lesson that so many before him have learned: Beating the New England Patriots in January is virtually impossible.
The Pats found themselves down to the Tennessee Titans 7-0 in the first quarter, but they rolled off 35 unanswered points and head into the AFC Championship Game as 35-14 victors.
It was another banner game for Tom Brady in his Hall of Fame career. He broke the all-time record for playoff games with at least three touchdown passes, crushing his Projected Fantasy Points total at Dober Games along the way.
Brady wasn't nearly the only Patriot who had a monster day at the office.
Dion Lewis didn't have a particularly massive day on the ground, but he was a winner on Dober Play Cards thanks to his nine catches for 79 yards. James White and Brandon Bolden both beat their PFP totals as well with both Rex Burkhead and Mike Gillislee out nursing injuries.
Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski had wins on Dober Play Cards, too.
Corey Davis' first two career touchdowns were good enough for him to beat his PFP total, but for the most part, the Titans were stagnant offensively thanks to Derrick Henry getting completely neutralized. The former Heisman Trophy winner finished his second-career playoff game with just 28 yards on 12 carries.
