The New Orleans Saints screwed around with the New York Jets far longer than they should have, but in the end, they'll head into Week 16 as the NFC South leaders after winning in Week 15, 31-19.
Once again, the Mark Ingram/Alvin Kamara backfield dominated. Drew Brees had to do a little more than usual, going 26-for-36 for 285 yards with two scores and a pick, but the storyline was once again the two New Orleans tailbacks. Ingram had 74 yards and two touchdowns on the ground and 77 receiving yards. Kamara had 89 total yards from scrimmage and caught one of Brees' two touchdowns.
The Jets predictably struggled to move the ball. Bryce Petty, starting in place of the injured Josh McCown, went 19-for-39 for 179 yards. He did throw a touchdown to Elijah McGuire, and that was the difference in beating his Projected Fantasy Points total.
Both McGuire and Bilal Powell beat their PFP totals as well.
Keep an eye on Robby Anderson going forward for the Jets. He only caught five passes for 40 yards in one of his worst days in recent memory, but he was targeted by Petty 12 times over the course of the game and could be in line for bigger stats in Weeks 16 and 17.
