It's not uncommon for the New Orleans Saints to score 40+ points in a game as they've done so 27 times in the Drew Brees era.
It is uncommon for the Saints to win a game in which Brees doesn't throw a touchdown pass. Coming into Week 10, Brees had only 15 games during his tenure at New Orleans in which he didn't throw at least one touchdown. The Saints were just 4-11 in those contests, and they had never scored more than 27 points in any of those affairs.
Yet, in the 16th game of this touchdown anomaly for Brees, there was nothing to worry about in a ridiculous 47-10 romp over the Buffalo Bills at Orchard Park.
Both Mark Ingram and Alvin Kamara were on fire as each ran for over 100 yards. They accounted for four of New Orleans' six rushing touchdowns. Even little-used Trey Edmunds, who had never touched the ball in his NFL career before today, had a 41-yard touchdown to put the final icing on the cake.
The Bills were a disaster offensively. Tyrod Taylor, who averaged 16.51 Dober Fantasy Points per game coming into this one, posted just 2.94 DFP against New Orleans. Rookie Nathan Peterman made his NFL debut, and he clearly outplayed Taylor, throwing for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Peterman led the Bills to 94 yards on two drives. Taylor accounted for 99 yards of total offense on eight drives, 57 of which were on the opening drive of the game.
