Shepard sat out the Week 6 victory over the Broncos as a result of the ankle injury he suffered the week before, but there's a chance that will be the extent of his absence. The wideout has been able to practice on a limited basis this week, providing some optimism that he'll be ready to go come Sunday. However, with the Giants are on bye in Week 8, the team could be more inclined to hold him out Sunday than they otherwise might be if he's still experiencing any soreness leading up to game time.
