Raiders at Titans Recap (Week 1, 2017)

Both Marcus Mariota and Derek Carr were taken off the field on a stretcher near the end of 2016. Both are back to health, and both returned to action in Week 1 of the 2017 campaign. While many believed Tennessee was in a good spot for an upset, it was the Raiders who walked away with a 26-16 victory to kick off the year on a winning note.

Carr was brilliant on this day, going 22-of-32 for 262 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Mariota was no slouch in his own right, though his final stat line won't tell a great fantasy tale due to his lack of a passing touchdown.

Mariota did score the only touchdown of the game for the Titans when he ran in from 10 yards out in the first quarter, though Tennessee was held out of the end zone the rest of the contest.

Oakland scored in all four quarters, though the crowning moment came in the fourth when all the chips were on the table. The Raiders ran drives of 70 yards and 34 yards to pick up 10 points in the final stanza, while Tennessee's lone drive of serious nature was capped off with just a field goal.

Marshawn Lynch was one of the key stories in this one. He rushed for 76 yards on 18 carries and looked like the old "Beast Mode." Meanwhile, DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry combined for just 18 carries and 69 yards.

The other difference? The top fantasy scorer of the game…Giorgio Tavecchio. The Italian booted four field goals in his first ever NFL game. Sebastian Janikowski who?
