The Pittsburgh Steelers have heard enough about all of their deficiencies. The Kansas City Chiefs have heard enough about the Steelers.
In a bit of an ironic twist, it was the Chiefs who had nothing going offensively against a Pittsburgh team that ate a slew of clock and kept the ball rolling on the ground. The Steelers picked up what might have been a season-salvaging 19-13 victory, handing the Chiefs their first loss of the season and giving the 1972 Miami Dolphins the ability to pop open their champagne bottles.
The Chiefs had -21 yards of total offense in the first half and -7 yards through their first two drives in the second half. They finally drove 86 yards on 10 plays to start the fourth quarter, but their drive was stopped on downs at the Pittsburgh 4.
Alex Smith actually ended up with a respectable day, throwing for 246 yards and a touchdown, though virtually all of those stats were amassed with the Chiefs playing from well behind.
Kareem Hunt was kept out of the end zone for a third consecutive game, though he did reach the 100-yard mark in all-purpose yards thanks to his five receptions for 89 yards.
Ben Roethlisberger threw another interception in Week 6, but he finally broke a streak of nine consecutive quarters without a touchdown pass by hooking up with Antonio Brown in the fourth quarter.
Not surprisingly, the only two notable fantasy stars on the day for Pittsburgh were Brown and Le'Veon Bell. These two are the only consistent scorers for Pittsburgh in our Dober Fantasy Games. They're the only two flex players averaging more than 7.0 DFP per game in 2017 and were not surprisingly the only two who got to that threshold on Sunday as well.
