Ravens at Titans Fantasy Recap (Week 9, 2017)

The AFC South has officially turned into a two-team race. In a week that Houston effectively bowed out of the division race after losing Deshaun Watson for the season to a torn ACL, the Tennessee Titans kept pace with Jacksonville by knocking off the Baltimore Ravens 23-20.

Not all 23-20 games are created equally in the NFL, and the ones that feature a pair of garbage time touchdowns for the team that is trailing are the best for fantasy players. The Ravens snapped the ball 77 times on the day, and it felt like 76 of them came in a fourth quarter in which they rallied for two scores to make the final score of this game more respectable than it actually was.

Joe Flacco only averaged five yards per pass attempt, but he beat his Projected Fantasy Points total thanks to his two touchdown passes.

In the end, all of Flacco's top receivers beat their PFP totals, too. Jeremy Maclin and Benjamin Watson got there based on volume while Mike Wallace reached his after scoring his second touchdown of the season.

It was a rather dull afternoon for the Tennessee offense in the grand scheme of things. The team rushed for just 71 yards, and Adoree Jackson had 20 of those on a trick play.

Mike Mularkey would much rather have the win to improve the team to 5-3, though.
