For all of the crazy things we've seen this season, none were crazier than Marcus Mariota throwing a touchdown pass to... Marcus Mariota.
The Tennessee Titans hadn't won a playoff game since 2003, but they rallied from down 18 points to beat the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium 22-21 to kickoff the 2018 NFL playoffs.
Mariota didn't exactly have a banner day, but he did beat his Projected Fantasy Points total thanks to his strange double-touchdown play. It was the first time a quarterback caught his own touchdown pass since 1997 when Brad Johnson pulled off the stunt when he was a member of the Vikings.
Derrick Henry is the man who deserves the credit for this win for Tennessee. He rumbled 23 times for 156 yards and a touchdown, and he really picked up the slack with DeMarco Murray out of the lineup.
Several Chiefs beat their PFP totals, but there are a lot of questions that begged to be asked going forward. Alex Smith, likely playing in his last game as the Chiefs' starting quarterback, went 24-for-33 for 264 yards and two touchdowns. He was a winner on Dober Play Cards, but he had a terrible second half after dominating over the course of the first three drives.
The Chiefs were up 14-0 early, but when Travis Kelce left this game with a head injury, the entire offense fell apart for the hosts.
Tennessee will advance to play against either New England (if Jacksonville wins on Sunday) or Pittsburgh (if Buffalo wins).
