Couture is expected to skate in the pregame warmups and considers himself day-to-day, but the winger doesn't know exactly when he will be ready to return to action. He skated for only about 10 minutes Wednesday and will likely be required to wear additional protection when he returns. An updated timetable should arise as he nears a return, but Couture indicated he doesn't consider Game 1 of the playoffs a lock. At this point, it seems unlikely the 28-year-old will play again during the regular season.
