Buccaneers at Cardinals Fantasy Recap (Week 6, 2017)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might have seen their season go down in a heap of flames during the second quarter of their 38-33 loss to the Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. Jameis Winston has a shoulder injury that looked as bad as the one Aaron Rodgers suffered just a few hours earlier.

The good news for the Bucs is that Winston was in uniform on the sidelines in the second half, though there was never an indication that he was going to come back into a game that was long past the point of being competitive.

Ryan Fitzpatrick came in for Winston and played as well as could be expected after entering a game that was already 24-0. Fitzpatrick went 22-for-32 for 290 yards and three touchdowns, but just when the Bucs eked back into a 31-0 game and trailed 31-20, "Fitzmagic" struck again with his second interception of the game that all but ended any hope of a comeback.

Cameron Brate tied a Tampa Bay franchise record by scoring a touchdown in his fourth consecutive game. Not surprisingly, Brate has gone past his Projected Fantasy Points total in all four outings.

The headliner of this game was clearly Adrian Peterson. Playing in his first game since being traded from New Orleans, Peterson had his first 100-yard performance since December 27, 2015. Peterson dominated the backfield, spending most of the early downs on the field. He still came off for Andre Ellington for the most part on third downs, and that suggests that this backfield could still be big enough for two relevant fantasy players.

Larry Fitzgerald was the game's top fantasy receiver after catching 10 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown, though it was his fourth quarter fumble that Lavonte David returned for a touchdown that gave Tampa Bay some brief life after falling behind 31-0.
