Head coach Bruce Arians stated earlier in the week that Stanton had a firm hold on the No. 2 quarterback job, and he did nothing to hurt that standing in Saturday's win. The 33-year-old former second-round pick fired a 21-yard touchdown to John Brown on his second of three possessions, after having led the Cardinals to a field goal on his initial drive. Stanton played only one more possession before yielding to Blaine Gabbert, but he could potentially draw the start for next Thursday's preseason finale against the Broncos.
