After struggling to recover from a quadriceps injury throughout training camp -- and missing the first two preseason games as a result -- Brown made his presence felt with two impressive scores on his only pair of catches. The 27-year-old showed off his trademark speed and explosiveness on both plays, providing some reason for cautious optimism that his ailment is behind him. The one x-factor with respect to Brown's overall health continues to be his sickle-cell trait, which can flair up unexpectedly and also slow down his recovery from other injuries, as was reportedly the case with the quadriceps. Given that he missed the first two preseason tilts, it remains to be seen if Brown will be afforded some reps in next Thursday's preseason finale against the Broncos.
